Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis will be joined by Maria Elena Durazo, Executive Secretary –Treasurer of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, along with Federal and State officials, workers, advocates, and experts for panel discussions on worker safety and on how to engage with government for worker protection. The event is being organized in coordination with the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration, UCLA Labor Occupational Safety and Health program, the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, the California Department of Industrial Relations, Cal/OSHA and the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
