Institute on HIV/AIDS and Employment

The U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy and the National Working Positive Coalition are convening a gathering of local, national and international HIV and disability stakeholders for a discussion of best service delivery practices for and research findings on the needs and experiences of People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) related to employment.

The learning objectives of the Institute are:

  • Service providers, researchers, and PLWHA will learn about non-government and government initiatives addressing employment for PLWHA.
  • Researchers will learn about theories being tested and research methods being used by colleagues and get feedback on their work from workforce development and vocational rehabilitation professionals, HIV service providers and advocates, and government and non-government officials.
