Apr 18 OFCCP Webinar: Good Faith Efforts to Accomplish Goals, Orange, CA.
Federal contractors and subcontractors are invited to join the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs Orange Area Office to review and ask questions regarding how adverse impact is determined for hires, develop an action plan to correct under-utilization, and examine record retention requirements. The Philadelphia District Office will host a construction contractor compliance assistance seminar. The seminar will provide compliance assistance guidance to federal construction contractors in the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton Area on reviewing construction contractor’s responsibilities and goals and how to implement the 16 Affirmative Action steps.

To increase the U.S. Department of Labor's utilization of all types of small businesses, the Department's Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) sponsors Small Business Vendor Outreach Sessions (VOS). These sessions offer small businesses the opportunity to market their capabilities directly to OSDBU and agency program officials and learn about potential Department procurement opportunities. Conversely, Department procurement officials can learn more about the diverse small business resources available to meet their procurement needs. Department of Labor agencies buy a wide variety of goods and services valued at approximately $2.2 billion each year. Each DOL agency has a responsibility for procuring its own goods and services in support of the agency's mission.

OFCCP- The Boston District Office will host a seminar for new and existing contractors and subcontractors on the development of Affirmative Action Programs as required by Executive Order 11246, as amended, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, as amended, Good Faith Efforts, Positive Outreach and Recruitment, and conducting self-assessments/monitoring contractor compliance. The event will also promote connecting with Community Based Organizations.
