The Women's Bureau will give a workshop presentation on workplace flexibility for veterans and military families during the “Healing and Hiring Fair,” from 10:30 am–12:00 pm, at the Jacobs Center located at 404 Euclid Avenue in San Diego, CA, on August 29th. The fair will be targeted to veterans and feature workshops and interview sessions with major corporations, including a special workshop conducted by officials from the federal OPM on how to find federal employment. In addition, to the focus on employment, vendors will provide information on supportive services to help veterans manage post-traumatic stress and successfully reintegrate into the community. Approximately 200 people are expected to attend the event. |
