Aug 27 Mexican Consulate’s Labor Rights Week, Chicago, IL.
The Wage and Hour Division Chicago District Office, in support of the Mexican Consulate’s annual “Labor Rights Week,” will be providing compliance assistance to members of the public at various locations in the Chicago metropolitan area. The District Office will have staff available to answer questions and hand out publications on the workers standards laws administered by the Wage and Hour Division. These include the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Davis Bacon and Related Acts and Service Contract Act. Aug 27 Labor Rights Week - Las Vegas, Las Vegas, NV.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division and Occupational Safety and Health Administration will join the Consulate of Mexico and the Consulate of El Salvador in Las Vegas in marking Labor Rights Week with a series of activities and events Aug. 27 to Aug. 31. Throughout the week, agency staff will provide compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints. The Kick-off Ceremony will take place Monday, Aug. 27, at the Mexican Consulate at 11:00 AM.
Aug 27 Labor Rights Week - Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division and Occupational Safety and Health Administration will join the Mexican Consulate in marking Labor Rights Week with a series of activities and events Aug. 27 to Aug. 31. Throughout the week, agency staff will provide compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints. The Kick-off Ceremony will take place Monday, Aug. 27, at the Consulate at 10:00 AM.
Aug 27 Labor Rights Week - San Francisco, San Francisco, CA.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division and Occupational Safety and Health Administration will join the Mexican Consulate in San Francisco, and the consulates of Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, in marking Labor Rights Week with a series of activities and events Aug. 27 to Aug. 31. Throughout the week, agency staff will provide compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints. The Kick-off Ceremony will take place Monday, Aug. 27, at the Mexican Consulate at 10:30 AM.
Aug 27 Labor Rights Week - Albuquerque, Albuquerque, NM.
The Albuquerque District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will join the Mexican Consulate in Albuquerque to sponsor Labor Rights Week, Aug. 27 to Aug. 31. To kick off the week’s events, a signing ceremony to renew the partnership agreement between the Labor Department and the Mexican Consulate will be held on Aug. 27 at 10:00 AM. The focus of the agreement is to provide Mexican migrant workers in New Mexico with information and guidance concerning their rights under federal laws. Wage and Hour Division staff will provide an FLSA presentation and distribute compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints.
Aug 27 Labor Rights Week - El Paso, El Paso, TX.
The Albuquerque District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will join the Mexican Consulate in El Paso to sponsor Labor Rights Week, Aug. 27 to Aug. 31. Presentations will cover the following topics: agricultural employment – the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act and the Immigration Control and Reform Act’s H-2A requirements; the Immigration Control and Reform Act’s H-2B requirements; minimum wage and overtime requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act; and the Family and Medical Leave Act. The Wage and Hour Division staff will provide compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints.

The Denver District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will join the Mexican Consulate in Denver in sponsoring Labor Rights Week, Aug. 27 to Aug. 31. Presentations will cover the following topics: agricultural employment – the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act, the H-2A and H-2B requirements, the minimum wage and overtime requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. The Wage and Hour Division staff will provide compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints.
Aug 27 Labor Rights Week - Houston, Houston, TX.
The Houston District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will join the Mexican Consulate in Houston to sponsor the fifth annual Labor Rights Week from Aug. 27 to Aug. 31. To kick off the week’s events, a partnership agreement will be signed between the department’s Wage and Hour Division and the Consulate General of Mexico at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27. The WHD will also be signing an agreement to renew the Justice and Equality in the Workplace Program on Monday, Aug. 27. Daily presentations will cover the following topics: agricultural employment – the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act and the Immigration Control and Reform Act’s H-2A requirements; the Immigration Control and Reform Act’s H-2B requirements; minimum wage and overtime requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act; and the Family and Medical Leave Act. The Wage and Hour Division staff will provide compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints.

The Salt Lake City District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will join the Mexican Consulate in Salt Lake City in sponsoring Labor Rights Week, Aug. 27 to Aug. 31. Presentations will cover the following topics: agricultural employment – the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act and the Immigration Control and Reform Act’s H-2A requirements; the Immigration Control and Reform Act’s H-2B requirements; minimum wage and overtime requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act; and the Family and Medical Leave Act. Wage and Hour Division staff will provide compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints.

The Dallas District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will join the Mexican Consulate in Dallas to sponsor Labor Rights Week, Aug. 27 to Aug. 31. Presentations will cover the following topics: the minimum wage and overtime requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act. WHD staff will provide compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints.
Aug 27 Labor Rights Week - Little Rock, Little Rock, AR.
The Little Rock District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will join the Mexican Consulate in Little Rock in sponsoring Labor Rights Week, Aug. 27 to Aug 31. Presentations will cover the following topics: agricultural employment – the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act and the Immigration Control and Reform Act’s H-2A requirements; the Immigration Control and Reform Act’s H-2B requirements; minimum wage and overtime requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act; and the Family and Medical Leave Act. The Wage and Hour Division staff will provide compliance assistance materials, answer questions and take complaints.
