OFCCP is having a networking meeting for veteran organizations who train, develop and place veterans and for contractors who are interested in hiring veterans and are looking for specific skill sets. The purpose of the meeting is to see if we can initiate an ongoing alliance between the Department of Labor, Federal Contractors, Universities, and Workforce Development Veteran organizations to improve the hiring of veterans. We will discuss the barriers of hiring veterans and identify solutions aimed at increasing their employment opportunities. There will be panel discussions, group participation session, and some good old mingling! |
