| Description: |
Mine rescue teams from several states around the country will participate in a two-day exercise to sharpen skills needed in the event of a real mine emergency. Teams compete against each other in a simulated mine disaster, which requires them to locate and rescue trapped and missing miners. The teams are judged based on their adherence to mine rescue rules and how quickly they rescue their comrades underground. |
