Event Name: One Hundred Years of U.S. Labor and Employment Relations: A Look Back, A Look Forward, and A View from a Comparative Perspective
Description: Description: The School of International Service at American University will host a one-day symposium looking back at one hundred years of U.S. labor and employment relations and the future of labor and employment in the United States and abroad. The U.S. Department of Labor is participating in the event, which includes three panels of scholars, policymakers, practitioners and a keynote lunch speaker. The department's Acting Secretary of Labor Seth Harris, Solicitor of Labor M. Patricia Smith and Acting Deputy Secretary for International Affairs Carol Pier are scheduled to speak. The symposium will be held on Friday, April 26, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at American University in Washington, D.C.
