Event Name: EXCEL – Examining Conflicts in Employment Laws – Three Day Training Conference
Description: EEOC’s 16th Annual EXCEL Conference (Examining Conflicts in Employment Law) for the first time has a three day training program designed exclusively for private sector and state and local employers covering a wide range of EEO topics. The training seminar which is being held in Denver begins by presentations by Lilly Ledbetter and EEOC’s Chair Jacqueline Berrien. OFCCP and EEOC officials will then discuss their efforts to eliminate wage discrimination and how they are working together. DOL Wage and Hour officials will discuss the rise in class action litigation. Representatives from EEOC, DOL, Office of Special Counsel, DOJ, NLRB and private sector attorneys will also address the government’s guidance on using arrest and conviction records, sexual harassment, national origin and immigration related discrimination, and social media litigation. EXCEL presents a unique opportunity for employers to hear from various government agencies.
