Mar 27 , 2015 OFCCP: Veterans & Persons with Disabilities Hiring Expo The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) Los Angeles District Office is pleased to invite federal contractors and job seekers to attend the first annual Veterans and Persons with Disabilities Hiring Expo, taking place on Friday, March 27th, 2015, on the beautiful campus of Los Angeles City College. This event is a joint collaboration between the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the California Department of Rehabilitation, the Hollywood Worksource Center, the Office of President Pro Tem Kevin de León, and the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. There is no registration fee for employers or job seekers to participate. Employers will have an opportunity to network with expo attendees from diverse backgrounds, specifically veterans and individuals with disabilities. Mar 18 , 2015 Town Hall Meetings to assist nuclear weapons workers The Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) will host three town hall meetings in Westminster, Colorado, on March 18, 2015. At the 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. town hall meetings, DEEOIC staff will present an overview of Parts B and E of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). At the 11:30 a.m. town hall meeting, DEEOIC staff will present information about the medical benefits provided to claimants who have been approved under the EEOICPA.
