OSHA Lead in Construction Advisor

You have selected this choice to learn more about how to interpret the data you collected to comply with the exposure assessment requirements of the Lead in Construction Standard (1926.62). The Advisor assumes that you have worked through "Guidance on coverage" and determined that:

1)

You are an employer subject to OSHA regulations.

2)

You are covered by the Lead in Construction Standard.

3)

You know or believe that it is likely that lead is present at the worksite.

4)

Your employees will be engaged in construction work in areas where lead is present at the worksite.

If the above statements are not correct, you should rerun the Advisor and select "Guidance on coverage."

The Advisor also assumes you have conducted an initial determination and the result was a POSITIVE DETERMINATION. Specifically, you used pre-existing valid objective or historical data, or collected data on airborne exposure levels using a representative sample of employees, and the data showed the possibility of employee exposure at on above the action level.

If you have not conducted an initial determination, you should rerun the advisor and select either "Guidance on conducting an initial determination" or "Guidance on using exposure data."
