Enterprise Coverage - $500,000 or more

Enterprise coverage applies to a very large number of employers. To find out if your employer is covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), you must determine:

  • whether your employer's business or enterprise is a for-profit or not-for-profit business/organization; and
  • whether your employer's enterprise has an annual dollar volume of sales or receipts in the amount of $500,000 or more. Note: if your employer's enterprise consists of two or more related businesses, such as a chain of restaurants, the dollar volume of sales or receipts of all of the related businesses are considered in determining whether the $500,000 threshold is met.
