Compliance with the Special Enrollment Provisions
Group health plans must allow individuals (who are otherwise eligible) to enroll upon certain specified events, regardless of any late enrollment provisions, if enrollment is requested within 30 days (or 60 days in the case of the special enrollment rights added by the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009) of the event. The following questions address these special enrollment provisions.
