MSHA Fire Suppression and Fire Protection Advisor

You have selected underground electrical equipment, mobile equipment, battery operated locomotive (Unattended), and other areas of mine.

The Advisor indicates that this is allowed.

The minimum requirement is:

One 2A:10B:C portable fire extinguisher. 75.1100-2(d)
However, for locomotives with a component compressor, an additional 2A:10B:C portable fire extinguisher is required. 75.344(c)
