MSHA Fire Suppression and Fire Protection Advisor

You have selected underground electrical equipment, compressors and pumps, submersible pump, permissible pump, pump located on or near a working section, pump used in an anthracite mine, and small portable pump, and small portable pump, and other areas of mine.

The Advisor indicates that this is allowed.

The minimum requirement is:

1A. Two 2A:10B:C portable fire extinguishers or one having at least twice the minimum capacity at permanent installations.75.1100-2(e)(1)
OR
1B. One 2A:10B:C portable fire extinguisher and 240 pounds of rock dust at temporary installations.75.1100-2(e)(2)
