Other Protected Veterans
Under the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act, for contracts and
subcontracts entered into with the Federal government before
December 1, 2003, an "other protected veteran" means a person who served on
active duty during a war or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign
badge has been authorized, under laws administered by the Department of Defense.
