OSHA Confined Spaces Advisor

The Confined Spaces Advisor provides guidance regarding OSHA's Permit-Required Confined Spaces rules for general industry employers. Employers of workers engaged exclusively in construction, agriculture, marine terminal employment and ship yard employment are not covered by these rules. Other OSHA rules apply to them.

See 29 CFR 1926 (Construction), 1928 (Agriculture), 1915 (Ship Yards), 1917 (Marine Terminals), and 1918 (Longshoring) for guidance to protect workers in these industries from confined space hazards.
