You must read the full regulation for complete details. * 1910.1001 - Asbestos. ======================= Time-weighted average limit (TWA). The employer shall ensure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of asbestos in excess of 0.1 fiber per cubic centimeter of air as an eight (8)-hour time-weighted average (TWA) Excursion limit. The employer shall ensure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of asbestos in excess of 1.0 fiber per cubic centimeter of air (1 f/cc) as averaged over a sampling period of thirty (30) minutes * 1910.1003 - 13 Carcinogens 4-Nitrobiphenyl ===================================================== * 1910.1004 - alpha-Naphthylamine. * 1910.1006 - Methyl chloromethyl ether. * 1910.1007 - 3,3-Dichlorobenzidine (and its salts). * 1910.1008 - bis-Chloromethyl ether. * 1910.1009 - beta-Naphthylamine. * 1910.1010 - Benzidine. * 1910.1011 - 4-Aminodiphenyl. * 1910.1012 - Ethyleneimine. * 1910.1013 - beta-Propiolactone. * 1910.1014 - 2-Acetylaminofluorene. * 1910.1015 - 4-Dimethylaminoazobenzene. * 1910.1016 - N-Nitrosodimethylamine. These standards apply to any area in which the 13 carcinogens (1910.1003 -.1016) are manufactured, processed, repackaged, released, handled, or stored. * 1910.1017 - Vinyl chloride. ============================= No employee may be exposed to vinyl chloride at concentrations greater than 1 ppm averaged over any 8-hour period, and No employee may be exposed to vinyl chloride at concentrations greater than 5 ppm averaged over any period not exceeding 15 minutes. If an employee is exposed to lead for more than 8 hours in any work day, the permissible exposure limit, as a time weighted average (TWA) for that day, shall be reduced according to the following formula: Maximum permissible limit (in ug/m(3))=400 divided by hours worked in the day. * 1910.1027 - Cadmium ======================== The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of cadmium in excess of five micrograms per cubic meter of air (5 ug/m(3)), calculated as an eight-hour time-weighted average exposure (TWA). * 1910.1028 - Benzene. ========================= The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of benzene in excess of one part of benzene per million parts of air (1 ppm) as an 8-hour time-weighted average. (2) Short-term exposure limit (STEL). The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of benzene in excess of five (5) ppm as averaged over any 15 minute period. * 1910.1029 - Coke oven emissions. ===================================== The employer shall assure that no employee in the regulated area is exposed to coke oven emissions at concentrations greater than 150 micrograms per cubic meter of air (150 ug/m(3)), averaged over any 8-hour period. * 1910.1043 - Cotton dust. ============================= The employer shall assure that no employee who is exposed to cotton dust in yarn manufacturing and cotton washing operations is exposed to airborne concentrations of lint-free respirable cotton dust greater than 200 mg/m(3) mean concentration, averaged over an eight-hour period, as measured by a vertical elutriator or an equivalent instrument. The employer shall assure that no employee who is exposed to cotton dust in textile mill waste house operations or is exposed in yarn manufacturing to dust from "lower grade washed cotton" as defined in paragraph (n)(5) of this section is exposed to airborne concentrations of lint-free respirable cotton dust greater than 500 mg/m(3) mean concentration, averaged over an eight-hour period, as measured by a vertical elutriator or an equivalent instrument. The employer shall assure that no employee who is exposed to cotton dust in the textile processes known as slashing and weaving is exposed to airborne concentrations of lint-free respirable cotton dust greater than 750 mg/m(3) mean concentration, averaged over an eight hour period, as measured by a vertical elutriator or an equivalent instrument. * 1910.1044 - 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane. ========================================== The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of DBCP in excess of 1 part DBCP per billion parts of air (ppb) as an 8-hour time-weighted average. Dermal and eye exposure. The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to eye or skin contact with DBCP * 1910.1045 - Acrylonitrile ============================ Inhalation. (i) Time weighted average limit (TWA). The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of acrylonitrile in excess of two (2) parts acrylonitrile per million parts of air (2 ppm) as an eight (8)-hour time-weighted average. Ceiling limit. The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of acrylonitrile in excess of ten (10) ppm as averaged over any fifteen (15)-minute period during the work day. * 1910.1047 - Ethylene oxide. ============================== The employer shall ensure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of EtO in excess of one (1) part EtO per million parts of air (1 ppm) as an (8)-hour time-weighted average (8-hour TWA). "Excursion limit." The employer shall ensure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of EtO in excess of 5 parts of EtO per million parts of air (5 ppm) as averaged over a sampling period of fifteen (15) minutes. * 1910.1048 - Formaldehyde. ============================ The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of formaldehyde which exceeds 0.75 parts formaldehyde per million parts of air (0.75 ppm) as an 8-hour TWA.
