  • An event or exposure occurring in the work environment did NOT cause the injury or illness, or "significantly aggravate" a pre-existing injury or illness and,
  • No event or exposure in the work environment caused or contributed to the affected employee receiving a cut, laceration, fractured or cracked bone, punctured eardrum, needlestick, splash with bodily fluid, exposure to tuberculosis, significant diagnosed disease such as cancer, or chronic irreversible disease.
