You indicated that:

  • During the event or exposure the affected employee was in the work environment as an employee, and
  • The affected employee’s injury or illness involved signs or symptoms that surfaced at work, but resulted solely from a non-work-related event or exposure.

According to OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1904.5(b)(2)(ii), this event or exposure appears to be an exception and does NOT have to be recorded. See FAQ 5-8.
