Executive Employees
An employee who does not have the authority to hire or fire other employees may make suggestions and recommendations that are given "particular weight" as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of other employees in the employing organization. For example, is it part of the employee's job duties to make such recommendations? Are recommendations frequently made or requested? Are the recommendations frequently relied upon? Generally, the employee's suggestions and recommendations must pertain to employees whom the employee customarily and regularly directs.
