FLSA - Child Labor Rules
Remember, once an individual reaches age 18, the child labor rules no longer apply. If the youth is 16 or 17, he or she may be employed by parents at any time, for any hours, and in any occupation except those declared hazardous by the Secretary of Labor. The hazardous occupations are listed on the following page.
