FLSA - Child Labor Rules
Since the youth you are interested in is 16 years old or older, he or she may work in agriculture on any farm. The youth may work during school hours, even when school is in session. A 16-year-old youth may work on any day, for any number of hours--and in any agricultural job.
In fact, there are even some dangerous jobs that the 16- or 17-year-old worker may do. These dangerous jobs are listed on the next page so that you are aware of them and can encourage the older youth to work safely if he or she is assigned to do any of these jobs.
