Qualifying Exigency Leave - Introduction

Military members include members of the Regular Armed Forces as well as the Reserve components of the Armed Forces.

Regular Armed Forces include members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

Reserve components of the Armed Forces include members of the Army National Guard of the United States, Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Air National Guard of the United States, Air Force Reserve and Coast Guard Reserve, and certain retired members of the Regular Armed Forces or Reserves.
