Selecting a 12-Month Leave Year: Calendar Year
Under this method, an employee would be entitled to up to 12 workweeks of FMLA leave at any time in each calendar year—January through December. This means an employee could, for example, take 12 workweeks of leave at the end of one calendar year and 12 workweeks at the beginning of the next calendar year.
