FLSA - Child Labor Rules

You have reviewed the Federal child labor rules for employment in agriculture. You should be able to tell whether the job your child has or would like to have is allowed for someone his or her age. If it is, wish your child luck, and encourage him or her to work safely.

If your child already has a job on a farm and you are concerned that it is against the rules for your child to perform some part of the work, you may want to continue with the Child Labor Advisor to gather information on enforcement of the rules, and how to contact the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor.
